Opsview 3.0 beta1 tests

Changes that need testing for beta1.

Package upgrades

Check that upgrades work okay on debian, due to nagiosgraph move from opsview-base to opsview-core.

UTC times

Check that on the upgrade, the data returned in the UI is in the correct timezone.

ODW upgrading

Due to the time fields changing, you could upgrade ODW independently of the other parts of Opsview. Test that this works correctly.

RRD migration

Check RRD migrates correctly. Check new graphing pages work.

Continually run insert.pl for same rrd file, while migration is occuring - does the migration fail?

Startup Opsview with no rrd files. Check rrds get created in correct directories for:

  • check_icmp (based on performance data)
  • check_ping (based on map file)
  • check_procs (map)
  • check_disk

Check nagconfgen sets performance icons appropriately

Leave for 30 mins and check data is still entering correctly

Package upgrading re: nagiosgraph

Install on 2.14.1 version of Opsview on debian, redhat and solaris.

Install Opsview 3.0 nightly package. Does it install correctly? Nagiosgraph has moved so could affect packaging mechanisms.
